National Procurement Commission approves 11 projects worth 1.5 billion Afghanis

KABUL: The National Procurement Commission, chaired by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, has approved 11 projects valued at 1.5 billion Afghanis.

The Office of the Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, said in a statement today that the approved projects include the construction of the Zargaran-Gardiz road in Paktika province, procurement of mining equipment for the State-Owned North Coal Company, purchase of vehicles for the Afghan Tour State-owned Company, construction and installation of substations from Qarabagh, Moqer to Shahjoy, electrification projects, installation and assembly in Musahee district, and a contract for the survey and design of a 220-kilovolt substation in Barikab, Kabul province.

These projects are set to be funded from the Islamic Emirate’s budget.

Important and developmental projects are approved by the Economic Commission after thorough technical reviews.
