KABUL: The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations said in a statement today that 190 Afghans have been released from prisons in Iraq and Pakistan.
The ministry stated that among these individuals, 171 were released from Pakistani prisons, while 19 others were released from prisons in Iraq.
According to the statement, these citizens entered the country through the Silk Bridge (Pul-e-Abreshim) in Nimroz province and Spin Boldak in Kandahar province.
The released Afghans were transferred to their original areas after receiving humanitarian aid at the aforementioned crossings.
Just last week, hundreds of Afghan prisoners were also released from prisons in Iraq and Pakistan.
