GHAZNI: The press office of the Ghazni Police Command said in a statement today that over 9,000 kilograms of various kinds of narcotics and 3,503 “tablet-K” have been burned in the province as part of a crackdown on narcotics.
According to the statement, the destroyed narcotics included 464 kilograms of hashish, 365 kilograms of opium, 15 kilograms of methamphetamine (crystal), 530 kilograms of heroin (powder), 3,503 “Tablet-K”, and 7,743 kilograms of another substance.
The narcotics had been seized over the past year by the anti-narcotics management personnel of the province, from the center and districts of Ghazni, said the statement.
This comes amid reports that two individuals were arrested two days ago with nearly 200 kilograms of opium in Ghazni.
