Mawlavi Abdul Kabir: Neighboring countries should refrain from bullying and violence against Afghan migrants

KABUL: Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, the Minister of Refugees and Repatriations, has once again urged countries across the world, especially neighboring nations, to refrain from bullying and violence against Afghan migrants.
According to a statement from the Ministry on Saturday night, he made this appeal during a graduation ceremony for students at the Global School in Paktia province.
The Minister emphasized that Afghans have been forced to sacrifice their lives and property during the occupation to preserve their Afghan values and traditions and have been migrating.
He also mentioned that the end of the occupation and the establishment of an Islamic system were two aspirations of the Afghan people that have now been fulfilled.
Religious education is now accessible nationwide, and no one is obliged to go abroad to pursue religious studies, he said, as quoted in the statement.
Pointing to the assistance provided to the families affected by the Kunar earthquake, the minister noted that for the progress and development of Afghanistan, the unity of Afghans is crucial.
This comes at a time when the Pakistani police have increased harassment and arrest of the Afghan migrants.
