KABUL: The Ministry of Interior Affairs said in a statement that police forces have arrested 23 individuals across twelve provinces in the ongoing fight against drug-related crimes.
According to the statement, the individuals were apprehended in the provinces of Kapisa, Takhar, Bamyan, Balkh, Panjshir, Badakhshan, Khost, Helmand, Farah, Jawzjan, Faryab, and Kunduz.
The individuals have been arrested on charges of drug trafficking and sales, emphasizing that they were caught during separate operations, said the statement, adding that a quantity of hashish, opium, methamphetamine, and narcotic tablets were also seized from them.
Two individuals were arrested along with 222 kilograms of hashish in Badakhshan province, yesterday.
