KABUL: The eleventh cabinet meeting of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) was chaired by Mullah Mohammed Hassan Akhund, the Prime Minister, with cabinet members in attendance.
Mullah Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, said in a statement on Monday, that during the meeting, discussions and deliberations took place regarding the establishment of necessary facilities, laboratories, modern equipment, and the construction of Kabul’s new city (Kabul-e-Jadid)
The statement noted that a committee was assigned to assess the necessary facilities, pharmaceutical laboratories, and other relevant equipment at the Islam Qala port in Herat province and other ports, with the findings to be shared with the Prime Minister for further action.
Additionally, it was decided that the construction of the new Kabul city should proceed according to the proposed plans, with other institutions collaborating with the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing.
Cabinet meetings are held regularly and systematically to make decisions on national-level plans and programs with the government leadership’s participation.
