ASQA returned 75 tons of low-quality construction materials to Iran

KABUL: The Afghanistan Standard and Quality Authority (ASQA) said in a statement today that it has returned an imported shipment of low-quality construction materials from Iran.
The shipment consisted of 75 tons of profiles (C-channel), which were returned to the exporting country via the “Abu Nasr Farahi” port, said the statement.
Although the statement did not specify the exporting country, Abu Nasr Farahi is known as a border port between Afghanistan and Iran.
The statement highlighted that this process is rigorously and systematically pursued by the National Standard and Quality Authority to seriously prevent the entry of low-quality materials into the country’s markets.
It is noteworthy that the authority’s personnel conduct round-the-clock quality and standard inspections of imported goods at the country’s ports to prevent the influx of low-quality and non-standard products into domestic markets.
