KABUL: At least two people were killed and five others are missing following two explosions and the subsequent fire in Pennsylvania the United States, officials confirmed.
Reuters reported early today, the explosions and fire occurred at the “Silver Lake” nursing home located in the Bristol Township area of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Kevin DiPolito from the Philadelphia Fire Department stated that two individuals lost their lives, and a search has been initiated for at least five missing persons.
In addition, injuries to several individuals have been confirmed, though the exact number remains unclear.
DiPolito emphasized that some patients and staff members of the nursing home were rescued promptly.
Currently, the cause of the explosions is being attributed to a gas leak, but investigations are ongoing to uncover further details.
The Silver Lake nursing home is situated in the town of Bristol, approximately 32 kilometers from Philadelphia.
