KABUL: Indian scientists and engineers successfully launched the heaviest satellite made in the country, known as “LVME-M6,” into space.
According to a video posted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on his X, the satellite belongs to the American company BlueBird Block-2 and was successfully placed into orbit after its launch.
The Indian Prime Minister described the launch of the heaviest satellite made by India as a significant step in the country’s space endeavors.
He stated, “This also reflects our efforts toward achieving an ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ (Self-Reliant India). We congratulate our hardworking space scientists and engineers.”
The “LVME-M6,” which is a second-generation Block-2 satellite, is a commercial satellite reportedly launched for “communications and imaging” purposes.
