KABUL: Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, visited Pakistan and met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Sharif wrote on his X on Friday night, that the UAE President mentioned that they discussed enhancing the historical relations between Abu Dhabi and Islamabad, as well as the ties between the people of Pakistan and the UAE.
He wrote, “As the UAE and Pakistan strive to expand cooperation, particularly in the fields of economy, investment, and development, we remain committed to achieving mutual growth and prosperity for our countries.”
Previously, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan had stated that regional issues were also included in the agenda for the discussions.
The UAE President arrived in Islamabad yesterday on an official visit.
