MAHMUD RAQI: Two men have been arrested along with a quantity of light weapons, ammunition, military equipment, drugs, and a stone statue, the media office of the Kapisa Police command said in a statement.
According to the police, the two men were detained from a house in the “Karataz” area of Mahmud Raqi city, with several light firearms, two hand grenades, hundreds of bullets, 16 magazines, military equipment, approximately 200 grams of drugs (including hashish and opium), and a stone statue.
Karataz is part of the second security district in the center of Kapisa province.
The statement indicates that technical and security investigations are ongoing in connection with the case, and serious legal action will be taken against those involved in the possession and distribution of drugs, weapons, and historical artifacts.
Kapisa is a province in northern Kabul that is known for its archaeological and historical sites.
