KABUL: According to information received by Radio Omid, nearly 15 provinces in the country are experiencing snowfall and rainfall.
Reporters have noted the weather conditions today, in various provinces, mentioning that precipitation has been ongoing since last night in Kabul, Ghazni, Maidan Wardak, Bamiyan, Daikundi, Herat, Farah, Paktia, Parwan, Kapisa, Panjshir, and Ghor.
Local officials in Daikundi province report that heavy snowfall has blocked all roads leading to the provincial center and the main highway between Daikundi and Kabul at the “Qonak” pass.
Meanwhile, in the Shindand district of Herat, severe rainfall has caused flooding, endangering the lives of travelers during the night.
Reports from Farah province indicate that flooding has also occurred in the Khak Safid district.
As of now, no incidents related to the weather conditions have been reported in the aforementioned provinces.
This comes after the National Disaster Management Authority issued a warning yesterday regarding potential rainfall and snowfall in over 20 provinces across the country.
