KABUL: Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Agriculture has announced that the country’s wheat exports to global markets, including Afghanistan, have increased from September 2025 to December 19 of the same year.
Trend News Agency, citing the Ministry, reported that wheat exports from Kazakhstan to Kabul have risen significantly.
During this period, exports increased from 190,000 tons to 260,000 tons, indicating a 36.8% increase in wheat shipments to Afghanistan.
The increase in wheat exports comes just 10 days after a high-level joint delegation from Kazakhstan visited Kabul, where they inaugurated the Astana Trade House to enhance bilateral trade relations further.
With trade between Afghanistan and Pakistan halted over the past three months, Kabul has established alternative routes to meet the country’s needs.
