KABUL: The Ministry of Interior Affairs, said in a statement on Monday that 25 individuals have been arrested on charges of committing criminal offenses across five provinces of the country.
According to the statement, the individuals were apprehended by police in the provinces of Samangan, Herat, Baghlan, Nimroz, and Paktika, in connection with crimes such as “gambling and theft.”
Additionally, a Kalashnikov rifle, 10 magazines, a pistol, and 600 rounds of Beretta ammunition, as well as a cache of weapons and ammunition were recovered and seized by counter-terrorism forces of Paktika provincial police in the Argun district of the province.
It is noted that efforts to enhance security, order in society, and the enforcement of law by police continue.
