KABUL: The police personnel of Kunduz have arrested a drug trafficker with 169 kilograms of “hashish and opium” on the outskirts of the province.
According to a statement from the media office of the Kunduz police command, the arrested individual, a resident of Kunduz, was detained by the province’s counter-narcotics police while transporting 120 kilograms of “opium” and 49 kilograms of “hashish” by a Suzuki-type vehicle from the “Irgenak” area of the Char Dara district to an unknown place.
He was arrested following an intelligence tip-off, and his vehicle has also been seized.
The Kunduz police stated that the detained individual will be handed over to judicial authorities after necessary investigations.
