FAO provides improved seeds and fertilizers to 5,596 farmers in Ghor

KABUL: The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has announced the distribution of chemical fertilizers and improved wheat seeds to 5,596 farmers in Ghor province.

In a statement, the FAO stated that this support comes at a time when Afghan farmers are struggling with the consequences of drought, helping them cultivate and provide food for their families.

The report highlights that the seeds and fertilizers were distributed in collaboration with the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).

In addition to the distribution of wheat seeds and fertilizers, farmers also received necessary training.

This initiative is part of ongoing efforts by the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock, which has previously provided fertilizers and improved seeds to thousands of Afghan farmers in various provinces.
