ZARANJ: The Nimroz local officials have announced the opening of three telecommunications service distribution centers (antennas) valued at 20 million Afghanis (some 300,000 U.S. dollars).
Mawlavi Abdul Rahim Fayaz, the head of telecommunications and information technology of Nimroz stated that the new antennas have been established in the areas of Shahid Mawlavi Pacha, Khwaja Mard, and Kharwari districts of Delaram and Khashrod.
Fayaz added that the centers were funded by the budget for Afghanistan Telecom Regulatory Authority(ATRA).
According to published information, the newly established antennas belong to the Salam telecommunications network.
With the activation of these antennas, the mentioned areas will now be covered by telecommunications services.
