KABUL: Donald Trump, the President of the United States, recently stated that the country is exploring “strong options,” including military intervention in response to the deadly protests in Iran.
Al Jazeera reported this morning that Trump made the remarks to reporters aboard Air Force One.
He remarked, “We are taking this matter very seriously. The military is looking into it, and we have some very strong options on the table. We will decide on this.”
He also mentioned that following his threats of military action against Iran, the leadership of the country has called for dialogue. According to Trump, discussions are currently being organized.
Trump added, “We may have to take action before a meeting takes place.”
In the past two weeks, the U.S. President has urged the Iranian government at least three times to refrain from deliberately targeting protesters.
However, the Iranian government has labeled the protests as “chaos and turmoil,” urging the public not to allow the destruction of public properties.
