Pentagon offers Trump multiple military options on Iran

KABUL: At least two senior officials from the U.S. Department of Defense have stated that the military has presented a range of options to President Donald Trump concerning Iran, extending beyond air strikes.
CBS News citing two sources reported this morning, that the military and covert options offered are significantly broader than conventional air attacks.
Additionally, other sources have mentioned that the U.S. National Security Council is scheduled to hold a meeting today at the White House to review updated options.
According to the report from U.S. officials, cyber and psychological operations could be executed concurrently with traditional military force, something military planners refer to as “integrated operations.”
The report comes, has recently Dr. Sayed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, recently confirmed his communication with Steve Witkoff, the U.S. Special Representative for Iran and the Middle East, following the protests in Iran—a development Trump has framed as Iran’s request for dialogue and negotiation.
The question remains: Can diplomacy prevent U.S. military action against Iran? The answer to this question will unfold with the passage of time.
