KABUL: The online U.S. embassy for Iran has issued an official advisory urging its citizens to leave the country as soon as possible due to the deteriorating security situation.
The embassy has urged American citizens to reach safe areas without relying on assistance from aid organizations, as the U.S. government cannot fully guarantee their safety in Iran.
This warning comes amidst escalating tensions between Tehran and Washington, exacerbated by ongoing protests in Iran.
Notably, President Donald Trump had previously warned Iran that should it resort to force to suppress the protests, military action would be considered against the country.
