India donates over 7,500 Kilograms of cancer medicines to Afghanistan

KABUL: The Ministry of Public Health has announced that India has provided 7,586 kilograms of cancer medications to the ministry.
Dr. Sharafat Zaman Amarkhil, spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Health, reported today that the donation includes 18 types of medications, transported in 776 cartons to Kabul, and was offered as a “humanitarian” aid by the Indian government to support cancer patients and enhance healthcare services.
The statement noted that the leadership of the Ministry of Public Health appreciates India’s cooperation, calling the assistance vital for treating cancer patients.
The ministry also emphasized that the medication shipment will be distributed to the relevant health centers after completing technical and control processes.
India has previously provided health assistance to the people of Afghanistan, including a recent donation of four equipped ambulances to the Ministry of Public Health.
