Minister of Higher Education: Learning and improvement are impossible without security in a society

KABUL: Shaikh Neda Mohammad Nadeem, the Minister of Higher Education, stated that learning and progress in a society are impossible without security.

According to Radio Omid correspondent, he made the remarks today, during a one-day conference on “Profession and Skills” organized by the Technical and Vocational Education Authority in Kabul.

The Minister added that complete security is currently maintained in the country, and efforts should be directed toward curricula and skills that meet the needs of Afghanistan’s present society.

He emphasized his determination to make today’s Afghanistan competitive in the field of knowledge on a global scale.

Shaikh Nadeem praised the efforts of the Technical and Vocational Education Authority and assured comprehensive cooperation from the Ministry of Higher Education with this authority.

Meanwhile, Mawlavi Ghulam Haider Shahemat, General Director of the Technical and Vocational Education Authority, stated that professional training and skill enhancement for youth play a crucial role in the advancement of society.

This comes as efforts to improve the quality of education in the country’s educational institutions continue to be robust.
