Canadian military to utilize Afghan Mujahideen tactics against potential U.S. attack

KABUL: The Canadian Armed Forces have modelled a hypothetical U.S. military invasion of Canada and the country’s potential response, which includes tactics similar to those employed by Afghan Mujaheedin against Russia and later U.S.-led forces in Afghanistan.

The Canadian newspapers The Globe and Mail has published the information based on statements from Canadian military personnel in an article.

According to the article, Canadian soldiers have acknowledged that while they cannot resist an invasion from the U.S., they will adopt approaches such as “cost-imposition” on the invading force, similar to those employed by Afghan Mujahideen against the former Soviet Red Army and U.S. forces.

The article further mentions that Canada may seek assistance from allies, such as the United Kingdom and France, in executing these tactics.

Although Canadian officials and experts deem an actual U.S. invasion of their country unlikely, they have emphasized the importance of training for such approaches.

The discussion of simulating attacks by Canadians has arisen following recent remarks made by Donald Trump, who referred to Canada as the fifty-first state of the United States in his speeches.
