Afghan and Bangladeshi traders meet in Dhaka to boost economic cooperation

KABUL: The Ministry of Industry and Commerce has reported that during the visit of a delegation led by Mawlavi Ahmadullah Zahid to Dhaka, a direct meeting between traders and investors from the two countries was held with the presence of Afghan and Bangladeshi government officials.
In a statement released on Friday night, the ministry noted that the direct meeting represents an important step toward practical cooperation in developing economic relations between the two countries.
According to the statement, B2B meetings and direct trade discussions were conducted, focusing on expanding trade, joint investments, marketing, and long-term cooperation opportunities.
Mawlavi Ahmadullah Zahid, Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce, emphasized the importance of further enhancing commercial relations between Kabul and Dhaka, encouraging mutual visits by trade delegations to Afghanistan and Bangladesh, and recognizing the value of private sector collaboration between the two countries.
It is worth mentioning that a delegation from Afghanistan, led by the Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce and including dozens of Afghan traders and investors, has been in Bangladesh for several days.
