PUL-E-KHUMRI: As a result of operations conducted by the 2nd Abu Obaida Battalion of the 217th Omari Army Corps, an amount of weapons and ammunition have been discovered and seized in the outskirts of Bazarak district of Baghlan province, the governor’s media office said in a statement today.
According to the statement, the seized items include, 6 Kalashnikovs, 2 rocket launchers, 2 hand grenades, 1 light machine gun, 1 PK machine gun, 52 rocket bullets, 2,600 Kalashnikov bullets, 2,400 bullets of PK guns, 43 rounds of grenades, 60 rounds of Zikok ammunition, 470 rounds of light ammunition, and 1 communication device
The operation was conducted based on intelligence and investigative information.
The statement did not mention whether anyone has been arrested in connection with the possession and maintenance of the seized weapons and ammunition.
