KABUL: The International Committee of Red Cross Societies (ICRC) and the Danish Red Cross have donated eight vehicles to the Afghan Red Crescent Society.
According to a statement from the Afghan Red Crescent Society today, seven Toyota Land Cruiser-type vehicles donated by the ICRC, and one additional vehicle was provided by Denmark.
The vehicles were handed over during a ceremony to Shaikh Shahabuddin Delawar, the president of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, by representatives from the two organizations.
In the statement, the General Director of the Afghan Red Crescent Society expressed gratitude for the assistance from the ICRC and the Danish Red Cross, assuring that the acquisition of these vehicles would enhance and expedite humanitarian activities.
The Afghan Red Crescent Society is a national humanitarian organization that provides aid to those in need during difficult and emergency situations.
