MAZAR-E-SHARIF: At least four people have lost their lives and one other has been injured in a tragic traffic accident in Balkh province, police confirmed.
The media office of the Balkh Police Command in a statement said today that the accident occurred last night on the Mazar-e-Sharif to Hairatan highway when a Corolla vehicle collided with a tractor.
The statement indicated that all the deceased were passengers in the Corolla vehicle.
The police have not provided further details about the identities of the victims.
Traffic accidents have periodically claimed the lives of citizens in the country.
