KABUL: Shaikh Shir Ahmad Haqqani, the Minister of Information and Culture of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, has been invited to the “Economic, Cultural, and Tourism” forum scheduled to be held in Kazan, Russia.
Khabib Ghufran, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Information and Culture, said in a statement today, that the invitation for the Minister’s participation in the forum was handed over by Anton Andreevich Kuznetsov, Deputy Minister of Culture of Russia, during a meeting with Fazl-Hadi Hamza, cultural attaché of the Afghan Embassy in Moscow, who was also present.
The statement noted that during the meeting, Mr. Hamza provided information about the achievements and progress of the Afghan government, discussing cultural and tourism issues (including the establishment of a cultural center for Afghans in Russia), and several other subjects and proposals.
According to the statement, the Russian Deputy Minister expressed interest in sending a high-level delegation to Afghanistan.
Over the past four years, numerous delegations from Afghanistan have officially participated in various political, cultural, economic, and commercial meetings held in Kazan, Russia.
