KABUL: The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) officials have confirmed that following the forced expulsion of Afghan migrants from Pakistan, 3,323 individuals were expelled in a single day.
Mullah Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesperson for the IEA, shared a report of the High Commission for Addressing Refugees Issues, on Friday evening indicating that the Afghan migrants entered the country yesterday (Friday) through the Torkham border crossing in Nangarhar province and the Spin Boldak crossing in Kandahar province after being expelled from Pakistan.
The report added that 2,734 of the Afghan migrants returned via Torkham and 589 through the Spin Boldak border crossing.
Upon arrival in Afghanistan, the migrants were registered by the reception committee and benefited from the assistance programs designed for returning Afghan migrants.
