KABUL: Qari Din Mohammad Hanif, the Minister of Economy, has emphasized the importance of transparency in implementing development projects and adhering to the principle of balanced development.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Economy today, he made the remarks during a meeting with Shane Clahan, the General Director of “CRS” (Catholic Relief Services), with the presence of Hassan Mohammad Al-Mahdi, the regional director for Asia and Europe, and Ms. Brannon Moore, the head of the Afghanistan section of the organization.
During the meeting, discussions were held regarding the activities and services provided by CRS in the humanitarian, agricultural, migration, cash distribution, and support for small enterprises sectors.
“Currently, 34 residential complexes for migrants are being constructed across 25 provinces, which require essential infrastructure,” said the minister addding that the residential complexes urgently need to establish public facilities such as access to clean drinking water, construction of shelters, clinics, schools, and other social services.
He called on institutions to collaborate in the construction of the facilities.
CRS is an international humanitarian organization operating in 100 countries worldwide.
