New green garnet gemstone mine discovered in Panjshir

BAZARAK: The provincial officials of Panjshir said that a gemstone mine of “Green Garnet” has been discovered in the region.
According to a statement from the Panjshir governor’s press office on Monday, the mine was discovered and registered by specialists from the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum in coordination with the Directorate of Mines and Petroleum of Panjshir.
The statement indicates that a professional extraction license for this mine has been issued to an individual named “Sayed Rahim,” and extraction is expected to commence soon.
It was mentioned that “Green Garnet” has been added for the first time to the list of precious and semi-precious stones of Panjshir province, and its extraction is anticipated to play a significant role in the economic growth and development of the mining sector in the province.
According to the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, over 10,000 individuals are currently working in various gemstone and semi-precious stone mines in Panjshir, including “emerald.”
