U.S. forces kill two, capture one in Pacific Ocean strike on suspected drug vessel

KABUL: The U.S. military has conducted a strike on a vessel in the Pacific Ocean, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and the capture of another.

According to the U.S. Southern Command, the deceased were identified as drug traffickers.

The command’s information indicates that this group was involved in organizing drug trafficking through the Eastern Pacific Ocean.

Additionally, the monitoring organization “AirWars” reported that since September 2025, the U.S. has carried out at least 35 strikes in the Pacific and Caribbean seas, resulting in the deaths of 128 individuals.

It is worth noting that the U.S. military conducted a similar strike in the Pacific on January 5, resulting in the deaths of two people at that time as well.
