KABUL: Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate, held a telephone conversation with Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates, to discuss regional developments and bilateral matters.
According to a statement from the foreign ministry, Muttaqi condemned recent U.S. actions in the region and expressed appreciation for the UAE’s restraint.
He also emphasized that Kabul seeks to resolve issues with Pakistan through dialogue and reiterated that Afghan territory will not be used against any country.
For his part, Abdullah bin Zayed said rising tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan benefit neither side and affirmed the UAE’s willingness to support efforts toward de-escalation.
