KABUL: The Laghman provincial police arrested 10 individuals on charges of drug trafficking, sale, and possession during a series of targeted operations, authorities said.
The Laghman Police Command said the arrests were made in the provincial capital Mehtarlam and several districts across the province.
According to officials, small quantities of narcotics were seized from the suspects, including hashish, opium, and methamphetamine, along with several pills.
Security sources said the detainees are currently under initial investigation and will soon be referred to judicial authorities.
Police said operations against narcotics and other criminal activities will continue across the province.
