KABUL: According to international media reports, the United States has outlined conditions for the new Syrian government led by Ahmed al-Sharaa to lift sanctions against it.
Reuters citing informed American and Syrian sources reported on Tuesday night that the key demands from the U.S. include the destruction of remaining chemical weapon stockpiles, preventing the proper handover of security sectors to foreign militant groups, and combating “terrorist” organizations.
It was stated that these conditions were communicated to Syrian Foreign Minister Assad al-Shabani by U.S. officials approximately one week ago.
Also, it has been reported that following the establishment of the new government in Syria, some ministerial positions have been assigned to members of the Uyghur group from China.
The Syrian government has not yet commented on this matter.
