Iran-U.S. talks in Oman: Tehran seeks honorable and dignified agreement

KABUL: The Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, in an interview with Iranian media, said today that his country is pursuing a dignified and honorable agreement in its nuclear negotiations with the United States.

Leading a delegation, Araghchi arrived in Muscat, the capital of Oman.

According to reports, a plane carrying Steve Witkoff, the special representative of U.S. President Donald Trump and head of the U.S. delegation, has also arrived in the Omani capital for the negotiations.

Meanwhile, Steve Witkoff stated that Washington is prepared to offer concessions if an agreement is reached with Tehran regarding the complete dismantling of its nuclear program, but he did not provide details about the concessions.

High-level delegations from Iran and the U.S. are set to begin discussions on Tehran’s nuclear program today in Oman.

According to the information, the talks will start indirectly and in writing, and if progress is made, they may evolve into direct negotiations.
