Islamic Emirate strongly rejects UN Security Council’s recent report

KABUL: The Spokesman of the Islamic Emirate Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid in a statement today [Thursday, 2 February] strongly rejected the recent report of the United Nations Security Council claiming that there are Al-Qaeda centers in Afghanistan and called it propaganda and inaccurate.

“Some member countries of the United Nations Security Council, who have faced defeat in Afghanistan, are spreading false rumors and propaganda against the Islamic Emirate,” said Mujahid.

He asked other UNSC member countries to avoid such rumors.

“There is no one related to al-Qaeda in Afghanistan, nor does the Islamic Emirate allow anyone to use the territory of Afghanistan against others,” the statement quoted Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid as saying.

According to him, the sources of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) originate from those who stood for their own interests alongside the occupation of Afghanistan over the past 20 years.

Recently, the United Nations Security Council claimed in a report that the activities of the Al-Qaeda network have increased in Afghanistan.
