Reconstruction of Salang tunnel among issues discussed in Minister Sani, Dmitry meeting in Kabul

KABUL: Mullah Mohammad Isa Sani, the Acting Minister of Public Works, met with Dmitriy Zhirnov, the Ambassador of Russia, and his accompanying delegation to Kabul, the ministry said in a statement today.
The ministry stated that during the meeting, discussions were held regarding the repair of the Salang Tunnel, the construction of a new tunnel, the rehabilitation of roads and railways, and the purchase of new and advanced machinery.
Also, Ambassador Dmitry assured complete cooperation in these areas.
According to the statement, both sides emphasized the importance of expanding economic and trade relations, and it was mentioned that an official delegation from the ministry is set to travel to Russia soon.
