Japan donates 13.5 million dollars for needy in Afghanistan

KABUL: The World Food Programme (WFP) said in a statement that Japan is providing a humanitarian aid of 13.5 million US dollars to the people of Afghanistan.

The Tokyo’s cash assistance will be used for the procurement of foodstuffs for the Afghan people.

“With the cash, food aid and emergency nutrition will be provided to people who are in food insecurity,” said the statement.

Keeping the United National humanitarian air services active in Afghanistan will form another part of the consumption of Japan’s aid to the people of the country.
