Islamic Emirate called for clarification of the United Nations meeting in Doha

KABUL: The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi in a meeting with Roza Otunbayeva UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Afghanistan and Head of UNAMA called for clarification regarding the agenda of the Doha meeting, the ministry said in a statement the other day.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed recent diplomatic developments of the Islamic Emirate and the report of Feridun Sinirlioğlu, the Special Coordinator of the United Nations for Afghanistan Affairs, and the Doha meeting.

The Islamic Emirate will make a decision regarding sending a delegation to the United Nations meeting in Doha, Qatar,” the statement quoted Muttaqi as saying.

In the meeting, Head of UNAMA has shared some information regarding the Doha meeting.

Otunbayeva also asked for the participation of the Islamic Emirate delegation in the Doha meeting, said the statement.

Its due to the second United Nations meeting on Afghanistan, to be held in Doha in two week, with the participation of special representatives of countries for Afghanistan.
