Residents of Pakistan-administered Kashmir face flooding threat

KABUL: Residents of Pakistan-administered Kashmir and Muzaffarabad have been warned about flooding due to rising water levels in the Jhelum River, which may become turbulent.

Pakistan authorities have accused India of deliberately releasing water into the Jhelum without any prior warning.

Residents in lower-lying areas have been alerted through mosques to evacuate their homes and move to safer locations.

It is important to note that relations between India and Pakistan have been strained following attacks on tourists in Kashmir.
