KABUL: The World Health Organization, (WHO) said in its latest report that the organization has recorded over 20 million positive cases of cancer and 9.7 dead in the past year 2023.
The organization on the occasion of the “World Cancer Day” estimated that the level of cancer disease may increase by 77 percent by 2050.
“About 1 in 5 people develop cancer in their lifetime, approximately 1 in 9 men and 1 in 12 women die from the disease,” said the report.
According to the report, cancer is more deadly than any other disease in the world.
