U.S. urges India and Pakistan to seek a more responsible way to end tensions

KABUL: The U.S. Department of State in a statement on Sunday called on the nuclear-armed nations of India and Pakistan to seek a more responsible approach to reducing recent tensions between them.
The U.S. confirmed that it is in contact with officials from both India and Pakistan regarding the recent tensions following a deadly attack on tourists in Indian-administered Kashmir.
The statement emphasized that Washington stands with New Delhi in condemning the killing of 26 tourists in Kashmir.
Tensions have significantly escalated once again following this incident.
The Pakistani government has denied any involvement in the attack and expressed readiness for an impartial investigation into the matter.
