KABUL: The Ministry of Industry and Commerce said that Afghanistan’s exports and imports reached 1.481 billion US dollars, in 2023.
Spokesman of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Abdul Salam Jawad Akhundzada, wrote on his X platform that during this period, Afghanistan has exported crops worth 100 million Afghanis.
The corps included dry and fresh fruit, onion, potato, medicinal herbs, juice and Hing, he said.
“During the past year, goods worth 1.381 billion US dollars were imported from Central Asian countries to Afghanistan, the majority of these imports included flour, oil, liquid gas, raw materials for factories, electronic, and chemical goods,” said Akhundzada.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Afghanistan’s total exports to other countries in 2023 amounted to 1.9 billion US dollars, which shows two percent increase compared to the previous year.
