KABUL: The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation said in a statement today that 104 Afghans have recently returned to the country after being released from Pakistani prisons.
According to the Border Management Department at the Spin Boldak crossing in Kandahar province, the released individuals entered the country through this port yesterday.
Each of the released individuals had spent between one to fifteen days in Pakistani prisons, said the statement, adding that after registration and receiving necessary assistance, they were transferred to their home areas.
This comes as the Islamic Emirate has previously voiced concerns regarding the mistreatment of Afghan migrants by Pakistani police.
