KABUL: The President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, has arrived in Moscow for an official visit, the Russian state-run TASS news agency reported.
The visit coincides with Russia’s Victory Day celebrations, and the two presidents are set to meet today at the Kremlin.
During the meeting, the two sides will discuss the comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation between Beijing and Moscow.
Yuri Ushakov, an advisor to the Russian President, confirmed that issues such as the “Power of Siberia-2” gas pipeline, issues related to Ukraine, and Russia-U.S. relations will be on the agenda.
This is the third meeting between Russian and Chinese officials this year (2025).
The two leaders have previously held video and phone discussions in recent months.
The four-day meetings of the Russian President with various world leaders on the occasion of the country’s Victory Day have been started.
