Senior Houthi Officials: Ceasefire agreement with Washington excludes Israel

KABUL: One day after the announcement of a ceasefire agreement between Houthi forces and the U.S., senior officials from the Houthis have stated that this agreement does not include the Israeli regime.

Reuters reported on Wednesday night that Mohammad Abdulsalam, the chief negotiator for the Houthis, indicated that as long as the U.S. remains committed to its promise of not attacking them, the Houthis will stay in a defensive position and will not threaten international shipping in the Red Sea.

However, Abdulsalam emphasized that this agreement absolutely does not include Israel, and vessels belonging to the Israeli regime passing through the Red Sea will be targeted by them.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the Houthis mentioned in a speech, without providing further details, that their drones have conducted attacks against Israel.

Two days ago, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the country had reached an agreement with the Houthis to halt attacks against each other
