Afghan Embassy in the Netherlands handed over to Islamic Emirate, sources

KABUL: Sources indicate that Mohammad Asif Rahimi, the former ambassador residing in the Netherlands, has handed over the Afghan embassy in that country to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
Sources confirm today that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate has asked Rahimi to oversee the embassy’s affairs until a new ambassador is appointed.
So far, the Islamic Emirate’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not officially commented on this matter.
Diplomatic progress in Afghanistan’s relations with regional and global countries continues to expand daily.
Recently, the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reported on discussions to resume diplomatic relations between Kabul and Baghdad.
