Nearly 555 newly built houses handed over to Herat’s quake-affected families

HERAT: The Construction work of 547 residential houses has been completed and distributed to the quake-affected families of Herat province, officials of the Earthquake Victims Commission confirmed.

Mawlavi Ahmadullah Muttaqi spokesman of the Herat Earthquake Victims Commission says, that the newly built houses were distributed to the victims of the earthquake in four districts of Robat Sangi district of Herat province on Sunday, February 11.

“The newly constructed houses cost over 120 million Afghanis, which has been paid by the Earthquake Victims Commission,” said Muttaqi.

The spokesperson of the commission states that so far, a total of 4,000 houses have been constructed for earthquake victims, and 90% of them have been distributed to the affected individuals.

Since few weeks, the process of distributing newly constructed houses continues for earthquake victims in Herat province.
