KABUL: Philadelphia police have confirmed that an explosion in the city has resulted in one death and two injuries, with the injured individuals being transported to the hospital.
CBS News reported on the incident on Sunday night, that the Philadelphia police said the explosion occurred in a residential area in the “Nicetown” neighborhood, damaging a total of seven buildings and causing three to collapse.
Kenyatta Johnson, a spokesperson for the Philadelphia police, stated that the two injured individuals are women aged 82 and 62.
The condition of one of the injured has been reported as critical by U.S. security sources.
The cause of the explosion is still unknown, and police have announced the start of an investigation.
The incident follows another armed attack in Idaho, where two firefighters were killed.
